El cuarto jueves de noviembre tiene lugar el Día de Acción de Gracias en Estados Unidos. La fiesta empezó a celebrarse oficialmente en 1863 por iniciativa del presidente Abraham Lincoln, para dar gracias por la primera cosecha abundante de los colonos ingleses que se instalaron en norteamérica.
